TRAINING ROUTE 3
ABOUT US
We design engaging and stimulating learning programs and materials

After sitting through multiple trainings throughout her career, founder of Training Route 3, Kimiko Sakuma became curious about why certain workshops left her informed, engaged and excited about learning, while others seemed to lack organization, interaction and connections to material.  This inspired Kimiko to become a training solutions consultant.

Kimiko has nearly a decade’s worth of experience designing engaging and stimulating learning materials. She has applied her skills in corporate, private and nonprofit sectors throughout her career.   Her innovative consulting approach has enabled Fortune 500 companies to cost effectively implement Food and Drug Administration (FDA) mandated programs and launch successful pharmaceutical sales training seminars. Kimiko worked on several related projects at GeneEd, Inc. where she successfully translated diverse pieces of company information into a series of online courses for General Electric (GE) and Amgen employees. These courses directly enhanced knowledge retention and positively impacted employee productivity.

Currently, Kimiko is consulting with a variety of different businesses. Her training solutions consulting enables organizations to achieve their goals, create deep learning connections and become more socially responsible community members.  Kimiko has been working on curriculum that promotes energy efficiency, green jobs training and workshops for women-owned businesses.

Kimiko is an active participant in community and professional organizations such as Young Women Social Entrepreneurs, Women in Consulting, Women of Color Action Network and Young Nonprofit Professionals Network. She is also an artist who has been exhibited in various Bay Area galleries and office buildings.

Kimiko earned her M.A. in Instructional Design from San Francisco State University and B.A. in World Arts & Cultures from The University of California Los Angeles.
